Are supplements really effective? August 31st, 2009

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear muscle supplements are those giant jars of protein that a friend used to take when he was trying to bulk up. I go to a vitamin store every few months to get jojoba oil for my hair. (I love the stuff, but that’s another blog!) It seems like they have kind of vitamin/oil/pill for every part of the body at any age in your life. Do these things really make a difference? Why are they so expensive? I asked the friend how he knew what to take and if it made a difference or not and said that he just searched online and asked the cashier at the store.
